Moong Dal Halwa Recipe – How to Make

Today we are going to make Moong Dal Halwa to serve as a sweet. It is very easy to make and you will have it ready in a few minutes. Its taste will be absolutely amazing and whoever eats it once will want to eat it again and again. How to Make Moong Dal Halwa

First wipe ½ cup moong dal thoroughly with a wet cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth.� After wiping, put the lentils in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely.� After grinding, filter it and grind the remaining coarse pieces again and mix them into the same powder.

Now add ¼ cup ghee in the pan and melt it.� Then add ground flour to it and fry it on low flame while stirring continuously.� Also add 2 tablespoons of semolina in it and turn the flame to medium and fry it while stirring continuously till the color changes and the aroma comes out.

When it changes to a light color, reduce the flame a little and fry it while stirring continuously until it turns dark.� Once roasted, reduce the flame to low and add 2 cups of milk and mix.� Then cover it and let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

Meanwhile, add ½ teaspoon ghee in the tadka pan and heat it lightly.� Add 2 tablespoons chopped almonds and 2 tablespoons chopped cashews in hot ghee.� While stirring continuously, fry them on low flame for 1.5 minutes till the aroma comes out.� Once roasted, take them out in a plate.

Stir the halwa after 5 minutes, then add ½ cup + 1 tablespoon sugar and cook while stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves.� Once the sugar dissolves, add 2-3 spoons of ghee in it and cook on medium flame while stirring occasionally.

After the halwa absorbs the ghee, add 2 spoons of ghee to it and stir again.� Then when the halwa becomes thick, add roasted dry fruits (save some) and 4 coarsely ground cardamoms and mix well.� Add a little more ghee and stir it, it will be ready after it thickens.� In this way moong dal halwa will be ready.� Switch off the flame, serve it garnished with remaining dry fruits and enjoy its taste.
